The 2022 China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival will be held in Xiamen, Fujian Province from November 10 to 12. The festival will fully demonstrate the new achievements in the development of China's film industry, show the responsibility of Chinese filmmakers to climb to the peak of film art and good style, inspire and lead the majority of film workers to be self-confident and self-improvement, keep the righteousness and innovation, excel and perseverance, and forge a new era of film industry glory.

I. Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony was held in the form of a forum, including three chapters: Dialogue of Masters, Characters of the Times and New Power of Youth, and a special way - "Light up the Golden Rooster" as the launching ceremony.

II.Golden Rooster Award Nominee Recognition Ceremony

At the commendation ceremony, certificates will be awarded to the representatives of nominated films and film workers. At the same time, a filmmaker salon will be held to enhance the communication between the front-line filmmakers.

III. Festival Activities

1. Golden Rooster Domestic Film Festival

The Domestic Film Festival intends to select about 20 domestic films for exhibition, and some outstanding films to hold a series of activities such as new film release and meeting with creators. At the same time, it will hold activities such as new film promotion and on-site communication between filmmaker representatives and audiences.

2. Golden Rooster International Film Festival

This year, we received 401 films from 40 countries and regions, from which we selected 35-40 films from all over the world that meet Chinese aesthetics and reflect the common values of all human beings. The International Film Festival will open on November 9 at Xiamen Wanxiang Cinema and run until November 20.

3. Hong Kong Film Festival

10 Hong Kong classic films will be selected for the "Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Hong Kong's Return to China" exhibition, including "The Nature of Heroes", "The Fairy Tale of Autumn", "Unforgiven" and "Forty Men", etc. The exhibition will tour Xiamen and Shenzhen from November 10 to 27.

4. The 3rd Golden Rooster Cross-Straits, Hong Kong and Macau Youth Short Film Festival

From November 7 to 11, the short film season will be held in Xiamen to showcase the top 20 short films, the special screening of short films by young directors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and the promotion ceremony, so that more Chinese film creators will be discovered and noticed.

5. Golden Rooster VR Film Festival

In 2022, China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival added "Golden Rooster VR Film Festival", which aims to promote the popularization of VR content, promote the progress of the industry with technological innovation, and promote the development of the film industry by relying on the platform of China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival.

IV. Academic Forum Activities

1. Academic Summit: New Journey of Chinese Film School

With the theme of "New Era and New Journey of Chinese Film Ecology Construction", the Academic Summit will bring together representatives of authoritative academic experts and industry research experts to exchange and summarize the experience and achievements of the rapid development and prosperity of Chinese film over the past ten years, and discuss the target direction and methodological path of film development in the new era and new journey.

2. Directors' Forum: The Decade of Mainstream Film Creation

With the theme of "This Decade of Mainstream Film Creation", the Directors' Forum invites important directors to discuss the creative direction, industry empowerment and talent training of mainstream films.

3. Actors' Forum: Dialogue between masters and the birth of roles

The forum is composed of tribute to the classics - honorary lectures, theory building - academic lectures, and the birth of roles - actors' creative autobiography as the main content, discussing the understanding and perception of acting art from the perspective of actors.

4. Film and Television Base Forum: Standard Construction and Industry Empowerment

With the theme of "Standard Construction and Industry Empowerment", the forum will discuss the scientific development system of self-regulation and self-improvement of film and television bases, and promote the future road of technology-enabled creation of film and television bases.

5. China Children's Film Centennial Forum

Gathering important directors, actors and theoretical experts in children's film creation, the forum will review the development history and achievements of Chinese children's films in the past 100 years and discuss the future development prospects of Chinese children's films.

6. Golden Rooster Award - Gulangyu Forum

Grasping the new trend of high-speed development of digital industry, with the theme of "digital film and television industry", leading entrepreneurs, representatives of head investment institutions and famous directors will be invited to dialogue, discuss the development and think about the future, creating the brand of "Golden Rooster Award - Gulangyu Forum".

7. Digital Film and TV Industry Summit Forum

Focusing on strengthening digital technology empowerment and promoting the vigorous development of the new industry of film and television, the forum will hold the white paper release of "China Film Digital Production Specification", keynote speeches and signing ceremony for investment in film and television industry.

V. The 4th Golden Rooster Film Venture Conference

A total of 960 full-length screenplay projects were received this year, and 15 projects finally entered the final evaluation through the mid-term roadshow interviews by a jury composed of 22 gold producers. "A total of 82 full-length film projects have been submitted to the WIP in-production section, and 8 outstanding films will be selected to enter the final evaluation roadshow and promotion process. In addition, the Golden Rooster Film Venture Conference and Bad Monkey Pictures jointly planned and launched the "Golden Eye Project" sub-section to support the cultivation of feature-length film projects with commercial potential. The final evaluation of the Golden Rooster Film Venture Conference will be held during the festival, including the ultimate road show, final evaluation meeting, Golden Rooster Venture Promotion Ceremony, one-on-one negotiation on investment and financing, and industry screening.

VI. Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Starlight Coast Launching Ceremony

The launching ceremony is a special activity of this year's festival, when a group of film artists' handprints, signatures and other logo imprints will be officially displayed to the public, and a group of famous film artists will be invited to carry out handprint collection activities on site.

VII. Film artists go to the grassroots

The organizer of the festival will hold a public welfare activity for film workers to go to the grassroots level to "advance a new journey and build a new era".

VIII. The 35th China Golden Rooster Awards Red Carpet and Award Ceremony

Each best award of this year's Golden Rooster Awards will be voted by the Jury according to regulations before the award ceremony begins, and will be revealed one by one at the ceremony.
