At 00:00 on December 22, Youku Documentary officially launched and world premiered the third season of Serengeti, which is also the third part of the series that Youku has joined hands with BBC Earth to launch.

Youku Documentary has already assembled all three seasons of the Serengeti series, which has maintained a high quality reputation, with the previous two seasons having a Douban score of over 9. The third season of Serengeti is produced by the same gold medal production team, with Emmy Award winner John Donner as the general director and him and Simon Fuller as the executive producers. The third season will continue to delve into the Serengeti savannah, filming animal families with a uniquely human mindset, tracking the most iconic African savannah animals, showing a "miniature version of human society" and bringing more realistic and dramatic stories.

This season, in a land that is constantly changing and living, a new family of friends will be welcomed, and the battle of the families will begin again. Not long after relocating to the Serengeti from a distant land, the herd of mongooses is not so lucky, as they are just beginning to explore their way to survival when they encounter one of the land's greatest dangers - a mountain fire.

The Serengeti documentary series is known for its original observations and realistic and interesting storytelling, and this third season continues in the same vein, with the animals' detailed facial expressions recorded and the rich and vivid colors of the savannah - golden sand dunes, flamingos, colorful lizards - undoubtedly a visual feast for the audience.

As an "old friend" of BBC Earth in China, Youku Documentary has always insisted on long-term cooperation with international documentary majors, continuously screening and introducing quality documentary content. According to Han Yun, the director of documentary film in Youku's Pan Cultural Entertainment Content Center, nature documentaries play a pivotal role in Youku's "Ku Huo" documentary track as an important category. Over the years, Youku documentaries have also sensitively captured the strong spiritual needs of family groups, and parents expect to let their children watch films while getting a leap from language, vision to knowledge, constantly breaking through the boundaries of life and changing the world.
