Call for Entries| The 2nd GBA Public Welfare Short Film Awards

Competition Period

 

October 2023 to January 2024

 

 

 

 

Target Participants

 

The competition is open to all patriotic individuals, teams or organizations in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao.

 

 

 

Entry Requirements

 

▪ Content

 

Entries are divided into four categories: microfilm, micro-documentary, public service promotional film and public service photography. The content of the entries should be centered on singing the main theme, eulogizing the new era, and conveying positive energy in the society, and should have one of the following conditions:

1. Demonstrate the development of the cause of persons with disabilities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and reflect the achievements of social civilization;

2. Demonstrate the spirit of self-improvement of persons with disabilities and disseminate humanitarian thoughts;

3. Advocate the social trend of helping the weak and the disabled, pass on the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, and promote the core socialist values;

4. Demonstrate the social trend of rural revitalization, helping the elderly, the disabled, the disabled, medical care, helping the poor, disaster relief, and caring for women and children.

 

 

▪ Requirements

 

1. Movie length: less than 20 minutes;

2. Format: the video must be a horizontal version of the work of film and television, the format of mp4, mov, mpeg, rmvb and other 1080P high-definition images, clear picture quality, sound and picture unity, complete subtitles (Chinese subtitles), in the film must indicate the production unit, the list of actors and actresses, etc.;

3. Type of subject matter: according to the category of the entries to determine their own;

4. Completion time: the entry must be an original work completed after January 1, 2022 (works that have already participated in the First Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area Public Welfare Online Microfilm Competition are not eligible for entry); and

5. Filming equipment: there is no limitation on the filming equipment (video camera, digital camera, cell phone can be used for filming); and

6. Participants should own the copyright and authorship of their works, the contest does not assume (including but not limited to) the legal responsibility arising from disputes over portrait, reputation, privacy, copyright, trademark, etc., and the legal responsibility will be borne by the participants themselves;

7. All participants must register for the contest according to the specifications, and the information submitted on the registration form must be true and legal.

 

 

 

Deadline for the collection of works

 

December 25th

 

 

 

Awards

 

Four categories of microfilm, micro-documentary, public service promotional film and public service photography will be set up respectively: 1 gold award, 2 silver awards, 3 bronze awards, 1 award for the best creativity, 1 award for the best vision, 1 award for the best subject matter, and a number of awards for the outstanding finalist works. Some of the awards can be won by both, and the organizing committee of the competition will issue a certificate of honor.

Participants should send the " The 2nd GBA Public Welfare Short Film Awards Application Form" (attached) word document, video and other materials of the works packaged and named as: XX units/authors-entry category-work name, to the competition registration mailbox.
